Why can't I save Pinterest videos from the app?
Pinterest streams video Pins in small segments (HLS) rather than as one file, so there's no “Save video” option and right-clicking the player doesn't help. When you paste a Pin link here, we collect those segments and join them into a single MP4 with the sound, at the best quality the Pin has, usually 720p or 1080p.
Links copied from the Pinterest app are often short pin.it links. Those work, as do pinterest.com/pin/… links and Pinterest's country sites, such as pinterest.co.uk, pinterest.de and pinterest.ca.
Can I download Pins with several pages?
Yes. Some Pins (formerly Idea Pins) have several pages, mixing videos and images, and you'll see each item in the results and can save the ones you want. Image pages are saved at the size Pinterest stores, which for many Pins is the full-size original the creator uploaded.
Why do some Pinterest videos have a TikTok watermark?
A lot of video Pins are re-shares of TikToks, Reels and YouTube Shorts, and they often still carry those platforms' watermarks because that's how they were uploaded. If you'd like a clean copy, check the Pin's source link: it often leads to the original post, which you can download from the matching page on this site.
Recipes, DIY projects, hairstyles and workouts are the most-saved video Pins. Downloading them means you can follow along offline in the kitchen or the gym without the app pausing or reloading.
Can I download Pins from secret boards?
Pins on secret boards, and Pins in group boards you've been invited to, need a Pinterest login, so they can't be downloaded here. Public Pins from any board work without an account.
Credit and copyright
Pinterest content belongs to the person who made it, not the person who pinned it. Save videos for inspiration and personal reference. If you use a technique or a recipe in your own content, credit the original creator, and don't re-upload their video as your own.
