Privacy Policy

We don't require an account and we don't store the links you paste or the files you download.

To prevent abuse we count requests per IP address for rate limiting. The counter expires after at most one hour and isn't used for anything else or shared.

Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited). We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people use; it sets cookies and Google processes the data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent first.

The video, audio, image and PDF tools run entirely in your browser: your files are never uploaded to our servers. The exceptions are PDF to Word and Word to PDF, described next.

PDF to Word and Word to PDF are converted by CloudConvert (cloudconvert.com), a file conversion service based in Germany. Your browser uploads the file directly to CloudConvert over an encrypted connection; we never receive or store it. CloudConvert deletes the uploaded file and the result within 24 hours. See cloudconvert.com/privacy for details.

The Speed Test is run by Measurement Lab (M-Lab), a nonprofit research project. When you start a test, your browser connects directly to an M-Lab server, and M-Lab publishes the results, including your IP address, as open data. See measurementlab.net/privacy for details.

Our MCP server (download.fan/mcp, used by AI assistants such as Claude) receives only what the assistant passes to a tool: the search text or the post link. We use it to build the reply and don't store or log it. Requests are rate-limited per IP address as described above.
