How do TikTok photo posts work?
A TikTok slideshow, which TikTok calls a photo post or photo mode, is a set of up to 35 still images with a sound playing underneath. In the app it plays like a video, but behind the scenes each picture is stored separately as a full-size image.
That's why screenshots look worse than the real thing: a screenshot captures the screen with captions, buttons and compression on top. Download TikTok Slideshow saves each original image on its own, plus the music as a separate MP3, so you get the photos exactly as they were uploaded.
What size are downloaded TikTok slideshow images?
TikTok scales photo posts to fit a vertical screen, usually 1080 pixels wide. Photos from a phone camera come out sharp enough for printing at postcard size, and recipe cards, outfit grids and text slides stay easy to read.
Images are delivered in JPEG or WebP depending on how TikTok stored them. JPEG opens everywhere. If a WebP file won't open in an older app, convert it with WebP to JPG, which runs in your browser and doesn't upload anything.
Can I save every slide at once?
Yes. After you paste the link, the results show every slide in order, and on a computer you can save them one by one or all together. On iPhone, each image you save goes to Files → Downloads; select them all there and choose Save Images to move them to Photos in one go. On Android they land in the Downloads folder and appear in Google Photos within a few seconds.
If you'd like the slideshow as a single document, for example a recipe or a set of study notes, combine the images with our Image to PDF converter.
Why won't a TikTok slideshow download?
Some links that look like slideshows are actually videos made from photos in an editor such as CapCut. Those are ordinary videos: paste them into Download TikTok Video instead.
As with all TikTok content, posts from private accounts, friends-only posts and deleted posts can't be downloaded. If only some slides fail, try again after a minute. TikTok occasionally rate-limits image requests for very large posts.
Credit the photographer
Photo posts are often someone's own photography, artwork or carefully designed infographics. Keep them for reference and inspiration, and if you share them elsewhere, name and link the creator. Re-posting artwork without credit is one of the fastest ways to get reported on Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok itself.
