How old am I in months, weeks and days?

Short answer

Count the days between your birth date and today, then convert: divide by 7 for weeks, multiply by 24 for hours, and by 1,440 for minutes. Someone born on August 15, 1990 is, on November 4, 2026, 434 complete months, 13,230 days or exactly 1,890 weeks old. Months are counted on the calendar, because they aren't a fixed length.

How do I convert my age to each unit?

  • Months: years × 12, plus the complete months since your last birthday. 36 × 12 + 2 = 434.
  • Days: count calendar days between the two dates, including leap days. Here, 13,230.
  • Weeks: days ÷ 7. 13,230 ÷ 7 = 1,890.
  • Hours: days × 24. 13,230 × 24 = 317,520.
  • Minutes: days × 1,440. 19,051,200.
  • Seconds: days × 86,400. 1,143,072,000.

Why can't I just multiply my age by 365?

Because that skips leap days. Over 36 years you'd miss around nine days, so your totals drift a little further from the truth every four years. Multiplying by 365.25 gets closer, but only an actual date count is exact.

This age calculator gives your total weeks, hours and minutes, counted from the real calendar. It starts each date at midnight, so its hour, minute and second totals are whole days multiplied out, not a count from your birth time.

When do you turn one billion seconds old?

At about 31 years and 8 months. One billion seconds ÷ 86,400 seconds per day ÷ 365.25 days per year is about 31.69 years, which makes a fun milestone most people miss.

When is my next birthday, and what day was I born?

For the example birth date, August 15, 2027 is 284 days after November 4, 2026, and August 15, 1990 was a Wednesday. Both are easy to check by hand with a calendar, and the calculator above shows them automatically.
