Frequently asked questions
Which currencies are included?
The 30 currencies in the European Central Bank's daily reference rates. Some currencies, such as the UAE dirham or Saudi riyal, aren't published by the ECB and aren't listed.
Is this a live rate?
It's the daily reference rate, not a second-by-second market price. Currency markets move during the day, usually by small amounts.
What is a cross rate?
The rate between two currencies worked out through a third. Here, every pair is calculated from each currency's rate against the euro.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The rates are loaded with the page and your conversions are calculated in your browser.
