Online Calculator

A free, simple online calculator for everyday sums: add, subtract, multiply, divide and percentages, with history. Works with your keyboard too.

Type with your keyboard too, and press Enter for the result. Percent works like 50 × 20% = 10.

A calculator that shows its working

Tap the keys or type straight from your keyboard: the answer appears as you type, so you can catch mistakes before pressing equals. The calculator follows the normal order of operations (brackets, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction), so 2 + 3 × 4 is 14, not 20. Your last ten calculations are kept below; tap one to reuse it. For powers, roots, trigonometry and logarithms, use the Scientific Calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How does the % key work?

It divides the number before it by 100, so 200 × 15% = 30. To add 15% to 200, type 200 × 1.15 or 200 + 200 × 15%.

Does it follow the order of operations?

Yes: brackets first, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction.

Can I use my keyboard?

Yes. Type numbers and + − * / ( ) directly, and press Enter for the result.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser, and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
