Every time zone at a glance

The world clock shows the current time in major cities from Los Angeles to Sydney, with each place's UTC offset and how many hours it is ahead of or behind you. Dark cards are cities where it's night. Daylight saving time is applied automatically using the time zone database built into your browser, so offsets stay correct as clocks change in spring and autumn. Frequently asked questions

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Offsets come from the IANA time zone database in your browser, which includes every country's daylight saving rules.

Why isn't my city listed?

Time zones are named after one major city each. Pick the city in the same zone as yours, such as Asia/Kolkata for anywhere in India.

What is UTC?

Coordinated Universal Time, the world's reference time. It's the same as GMT in winter in London and doesn't change for daylight saving.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. Times are calculated in your browser, and your city list is stored only on this device.
