Coin Flip
Flip a virtual coin for heads or tails, with a 3D flip animation and a running tally. Fair 50/50 results from a cryptographic random generator. Free.
Heads or tails, fairly
Press Flip and the coin spins before landing on heads or tails. Each flip is an independent 50/50 draw from your browser's cryptographic random generator, which is fairer than a real coin: studies have found real tosses land slightly more often on the side that started facing up. The tally counts heads and tails across your flips. Over many flips the split gets close to 50/50, though streaks of five or six in a row are completely normal.

Frequently asked questions
Is the coin flip fair?
Yes. Each flip is exactly 50/50 and doesn't depend on previous flips.
I got tails five times in a row. Is it broken?
No. Five in a row happens about once in every 32 sets of five flips. Random results naturally contain streaks.
Are real coin flips 50/50?
Almost. A 2023 study of 350,000 tosses found coins land on the starting side about 50.8% of the time.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Flips happen in your browser.
