Choose a voice and language, set the speed from half to double and adjust the pitch. It's useful for proofreading (you hear mistakes your eyes skip), learning pronunciation, listening to articles while doing something else, and for people with dyslexia or low vision. Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome include the most natural-sounding online voices.

Can I download the audio as MP3?
Not here. Browsers don't let web pages record their built-in voices, so the speech plays live.
Why are the voices different on my phone?
Voices come from your operating system and browser. iPhones, Android phones, Windows and Mac each have their own set.
Which languages are supported?
Whatever voices your device has, usually dozens of languages. On Windows and Android you can install more voices in the system settings.
Is my text sent anywhere?
The page doesn't send it anywhere. Some browsers' online voices (such as Chrome's Google voices and Edge's natural voices) process speech on their servers.
