Add up time the easy way
Adding times by hand is awkward because 60 minutes make an hour and 24 hours make a day. Enter two durations in days, hours, minutes and seconds and the calculator adds or subtracts them, then shows the answer in hours and minutes, decimal hours, total minutes and total seconds. Use the second tab to find how long it is between two clock times, for example from 9:15 to 17:40. If the end time is earlier than the start, it's counted as the next day.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert minutes to decimal hours?
Divide the minutes by 60: 45 minutes is 0.75 hours, so 7 h 45 min is 7.75 hours. The calculator shows this for you.
How do I add up a list of times?
Add the first two, then enter the result as the first time and add the next one. For a weekly timesheet, the Hours Calculator adds every day at once.
Can the result be negative?
Yes. If you subtract a longer time from a shorter one, the result shows with a minus sign.
Is anything sent to a server?
