Frequently asked questions
How many hours ahead is IST from EST?
India Standard Time is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of US Eastern Standard Time, and 9 hours 30 minutes ahead when the US is on daylight time (EDT).
What's the difference between PST and EST?
Eastern time is 3 hours ahead of Pacific time all year, since both switch daylight saving on the same dates.
Are GMT and UTC the same?
For everyday use, yes. The UK uses GMT in winter and BST (GMT+1) in summer.
