Scientific Calculator
A free online scientific calculator with sin, cos, tan, inverse trig, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials and π, in degrees or radians.
Type with your keyboard too: sin(30), 2^10, 5!, sqrt(2), log(100), ln(e), π. Brackets left open close automatically; Ans is the last result.
Everything a school calculator does
The scientific calculator handles trigonometry (sin, cos, tan and their inverses) in degrees or radians, natural and base-10 logarithms, powers with ^, square roots, factorials with !, and the constants π and e. Type expressions naturally: 2π, 3(4 + 5) and sin 30 all work, and brackets left open close automatically. Like a Casio or TI calculator, −2^2 is −4, because the power is applied before the minus sign. Ans recalls your last result.
How to use it
- 1
Choose DEG or RAD
Degrees for most school geometry; radians for calculus.
- 2
Enter the expression
Use the keys or type, such as sin(45)^2 + cos(45)^2.
- 3
Read the result
It shows as you type. Press = to keep it and use Ans in the next sum.
Frequently asked questions
Why is sin(30) giving a strange answer?
Check the angle mode. sin(30) is 0.5 in degrees but −0.988 in radians.
What's the difference between log and ln?
log is base 10 (log 100 = 2); ln is the natural logarithm, base e (ln e = 1).
How do I calculate a cube root?
Use cbrt(27) or a fractional power: 27^(1/3) = 3.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser, and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
