Plan your investment growth
Enter what you're starting with, how much you'll add each month and the return you expect, and the calculator projects your balance year by year. Raise your contributions each year with the step-up field to match pay rises, and set an inflation rate to see what the final balance would buy in today's money, which is the number that matters for goals like retirement or a house deposit. Returns are assumed to be steady; real markets go up and down, so try a lower rate for a cautious estimate.

Frequently asked questions
What return should I expect from investing?
Global stock markets have returned roughly 7–10% a year over the long run before inflation, with large swings in between. Bonds and cash return less.
Why show the value after inflation?
Prices rise over time. At 3% inflation, 100,000 in 20 years buys what about 55,400 buys today.
Does it include fees and taxes?
No. Subtract your fund's yearly fees from the expected return for a more realistic result.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser, and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
